I’ve also had the opportunity to serve on boards including the South Dakota Board of Educational Telecommunications, the Senate Bill 55 Taskforce on Higher Education, and the University of South Dakota Alumni Association. Over the years, our family has made the opportunity to volunteer with a number of community organizations and associations such as the Sioux Falls Family YMCA, Lost&Found, Sioux Falls Downtown Rotary, and more. Government can play a limited role in this, yet should respect and appreciate the community, non-profit, and faith-based organizations already doing great work in our state. As a father, I want our state to provide our next generation the hope of a better, safer future through quality education, public safety, access to healthcare, and community resources.
